چکیده
Phenylene ethynylene-based π-conjugated polymers grafted with dithiafulvenyl groups on their side chains were found to be efficient in dispersing single-walled carbon nanotubes in a selective and controllable way.

Dispersing as-prepared single-walled carbon nanotube powders with linear conjugated polymers.
Suitably modified linear conjugated poly(arylene ethynylene)s are able to assist effective debundling and dispersion of crude as-prepared single-walled carbon nanotube powders in organic solvents, the dispersion of which is effected via a surface coating mechanism and, to some extent, in a size-selective fashion.
متن کاملWide dynamic range enrichment method of semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes with weak field centrifugation
The potential of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) to outperform silicon in electronic application was finally enabled through selective separation of semiconducting nanotubes from the as-synthesized statistical mix with polymeric dispersants. Such separation methods provide typically high semiconducting purity samples with narrow diameter distribution, i.e. almost single chiralities. But...
متن کاملSelective dispersion of high purity semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes with regioregular poly(3-alkylthiophene)s.
Conjugated polymers, such as polyfluorene and poly(phenylene vinylene), have been used to selectively disperse semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWNTs), but these polymers have limited applications in transistors and solar cells. Regioregular poly(3-alkylthiophene)s (rr-P3ATs) are the most widely used materials for organic electronics and have been observed to wrap around SWNTs....
متن کاملDispersion of carbon nanotubes by photo- and thermal-responsive polymers containing azobenzene unit in the backbone.
Photo- and thermal-responsive polymers containing azobenzene units in the main chain have been utilized as removable dispersants for single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in organic solvents. Intermolecular interactions between SWNTs and the polymers are reversibly controllable by tuning the trans-cis composition.
متن کاملChapter 2: A Comparison of the Optical Limiting Properties of Different Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube/Conjugated Polymer Dispersions
The effect of the type of polymer used to disperse Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWNTs) on the optical limiting performances of the resulting dispersions was studied. One conjugated polymer Poly(9,9-di-n-hexylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl) (PFO) possessing a flexible backbone, and two conjugated polymers Poly(2,5-dioctylphenylene1,4-ethynylene) (PPE), and Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-yleneethynylene) (...
